Sachtler Cine 7+7HD tripod
2x Litepanels 1x1
3x Dedolights
Kessler Crane Pocket Dolly 2 feet
Denz Mini Follow Focus
Denz Sony F3 Support System with Rods
Aja KiPro Mini recorder
Genus Elite Mattebox
Schneider Optics Polarizer 4x4
Music:
Daniel Dixon - Spring! withetiquette.com
This is a short documentary about the brewer Fritz Hebendanz in Northern Bavaria. brauerei-hebendanz.de
Shot with my Sony F3 and the S-Log firmware upgrade. I also used a KiPro Mini and recorded at 4:2:2 10-Bit ProRes HQ. S-Log is a great feature and worth every penny. It's like buying a new sensor for the F3 - it simple doubles the sensitivity of the sensor.

My only concern would be the audio on the main characters son. It seems a little quiet. What do you think?
Other than that it's great!
May I ask what you used for sound as it doesn't sound as warm as I would like...am sure the room wasn't acoustically great anyway!
I know that music well! Used it for booths and bodies! Good choice! ;)
damn, you have already used it? sorry for that mate!!
You should check out the Sanken COS11. Amazing wired lav mic
okay, should invest in one...thank you philip!
BTW: I really like the mood of this piece! The shots and the colors are awesome!
the NTG2 sounds ok actually... u should bring ur mic closer to ur subject tho'
maybe some more even closer detail-shots would have been nice as well ;) .... just saying
music works great
and another question (sorry ;) ...what was the main reason for you to shoot s-log?
grüße
Would love to try some of his product one day.
Congrats!
Edit was a little too slow though (in my opinion) and you would have benefited from some room tone to help soften the transitions, to and from the interview audio.
Sometimes its hard to remember to get room tone though when you are shooting and doing audio too.
Lovely picture! Nice grade.
