Li Xiguang, dean of Tsinghua University International Center for Communication Studies, described two economic schools of thought that are today openly debating the way forward for China. In his comments, part of a November 11, 2011, talk at Brown University's Watson Institute for International Studies, Li also described China's current President Hu Jintao as splitting the difference between the two.
