What camera are you shooting with? Does it do DOF like that by default or are you using some sort of film lens adapter?

Yeah Jamie You are right Nice DOF, I wish this had EXIF data, so we could see how and with what it was filmed with.

Panasonic HVX200, no extra filters. You get shallower DOF if you open the aperture up as much as possible and zoom in on your subject, which is what I did here. My friend Judah made a music video with the HVX200 and an M2 lens adapter for much more DOF effect that can be seen here:

How do you think the Panasonic HVX200 compares with the Canon HV20 or their latest offering (if you have checked it out yet) the Canon HF100? thanks!

The HVX200 is a professional camera, while the HV20 is a consumer camera that has very good quality for its low price. I haven't seen the HF100 yet.
