I am breastfeeding as I watch the beauty of other moms feeding their children in this video. As I watch, I am brought back to so many moments with Lily, my daughter, and something that is so natural between a mother and child. I have tears welling up and spilling over at the thought of another banishment on such a completely natural act. What have we come to, as a society, to view a bond so healthy as being an act liken to 'masterbation' (and even that is not wrong!). Breastfeeding mothers unite! America needs to see more of us feeding our children in this way in public, and America needs to know we will not put up with this any longer. If you breastfeed, or are a supporter of breastfeeding, do not be ashamed to do so in public. Do not be ashamed to tell others why you are standing up for what you know is right. Do not be afraid if your breast shows while in view of others. Do not go to another room to breastfeed. By doing so, we are giving in and enabling this atrocity against our children to continue! I am so tired of hearing otherwise, and being ridiculed for loving my child enough to want to give her the best.
