Pantsuit Jill (PJ) Chavez and BlayneBlayne are back to bring you the "art beats from the streets!" This time they stopped by Austin's MASS Gallery to visit with artist Carlos Rosales-Silva and his recent show, "No National Monument." The work in the show "is an attempt to reconnect and reconfigure a personal cultural and historical heritage. The result is the creation of a visual dialogue that can convey and create specific moments of rediscovery and reclamation."

For more information you can visit MASS gallery at massgallery.org, Carlos' flickr page at flickr.com/thatboylos or check out Carlos' next show in Kansas City at charlottestreet.org/2009/01/ucp-presents-happy-tree-friends-exhibitions-at-la-esquina-paragraph/

Carlos Rosales-Silva is currently attending the University of Texas at Austin. He is a member of Okay Mountain Gallery and has recently had shows at Co-Lab (Austin, TX) and Mexic-Arte Museum (Austin, TX) in their Young Latino Artists showcase.
