Dave can't remember what happened last night. Luckily he and his friends were using Hipstamatic Disposable to document their voyage.

I feel like this was already done in Hipstamatic with the photo albums, albeit poorly and confusingly implemented. I was hoping for something more original from the Hipstamatic team... :/

    Well, that was nails-on-the-chalkboard annoying.

Game-changing for weddings and other big events with multiple shooters on a team.

I see your point, but why wasn't a shared Dropbox folder with multiple mobile users already a game-changer?
  • Michael Norquest 2 months ago
    because that's not practical

You got Dave's moustache wrong in scene 1.
All other scenes the shaved part is on the left side of his face except for scene 1 where it's on the right side.

Do your friends only come from when you connect to FB? Or can you invite thru another way?

Honestly, this is what the Film Roll should be in Hipstamatic. Everything gets saved to my camera roll on the iPhone and this wold give Hipstamatic's Film Roll a purpose other than duplicating what already exists somewhere else and push the social component of the app to a new level. Sucks they went this route with it.

Boo hiss for this whole concept. So latest update gives us free low resolution cameras and we pay for higher resolution film. I am a digital photographer - I buy a memory card and now I can save thousands of photos to that single memory card. The fact you're trying to charge me for digital "rolls" if I want higher resolution shots is criminal. Let's take this the next step.... Infinity Blade III costs .99 for 5 plays. My GPS costs .99 for 5 address look-ups. Google charges me .99 for Do you see why this is FLAWED? Is this the revolution you want to be even associated with? I love Hipstamatic and have ever film and lens pack. I dislike the interface and sincerely wish you would have focused on improving the user experience THERE instead of releasing a flawed application like THIS....

Absolutely agree. Yes, I too love Hipstamatic (reg app) and even got their Incredibooth app.

How many reincarnations of "Black Keys" must we buy?

And...despite the need to go retro with smart phones, how far do we need to go to replicate our nostalgia for film photography?

    Caveat emptor, I suppose.

Meh. Seems like the old album idea somewhat recycled. I guess we'll have to wait and see...

Now I get it - great concept for weddings & special occasions. Not sure if I'll use it... great for iPhone conventions though :-)

Seems like a cool idea...as long as your share list isn't more than 24 people.

  • That video made the concept harder to grasp than a 1-3 sentence description would have. (Yes it was cute, well-made and perfect for any hipster, but it didn't communicate the idea very well).

    AGREED.

also, who really wants to watch a 1:36 video without sound?
  • Johnny Lighthands 2 months ago
I'm with you on that. You should be able to watch an animation like this without sound and still understand the concept. I cound't understand it with sound. The voice over wasn;t helping either.

I totally get it: Hipstamatic is actually limiting an album by only including photos made within a limited number of shots (called a "roll").

That kinda sucks if you there are more than 24 peeps at your party. One shot per person?

Better idea: stick to the far cheaper/easier/flexible way of combining shots, no matter what app took them.

I love the normal Hipsta app, but aren't we milking the cow a little too much?

Someone's been watching too much "The Hangover" movies.

Good idea, but I think I'll stick with my Hipstamatic 231, thank you!
