Minnesota @ 150: Real and Imagined
Education (Filmed 10/11/08 at the MN State Fair)

Dr. Robert Holst, President of Concordia University, talks about the changing face of today's students. Universities are no longer dominated by white males, increasing numbers of immigrants and women are changing the ways in which we approach solutions to problems like a shrinking workforce. Vinodh Kutty, of the Center for Cross-Culture Health, expresses optimism that increased numbers of new Americans will help fill the gap as white birth rates decline. Mr. Kutty explains that there is a need for increased numbers of new American administrative staff, teachers, and school personnel to serve as role models to this new surge of immigrant students.
