Prayer is the method through which the spiritual realm is brought into our everyday lives.
Dr R. A. Torrey preached, "We live in a day characterized by multiplication of man's machinery and the diminution of God's power. The cry of our day is work, work, work, work, organize, organize, organize, give us some new society, tell us some new methods, and devise new machinery: but the great need of our day is prayer."
Does prayer work?
If more people believed prayer worked, more people would pray! I know prayer works because I have seen many answers to prayer. Allow me to share with you just one!
Jessica woke one day to the shock that her husband had left her. The following week her teenage daughter left home confused and rebellious. For six months her daughter did not contact Jessica because she feared her mother would disapprove of the way she was living.
In despair, Jessica cried out to God for help. Within a short time of praying (the way you are shown in the movie), Jessica's daughter rang to say that she had a change of heart and life and asked if she could come home!
