The inaugural Global Green Indigenous Film Festival was held in Santa Fe, NM April 8 – 10th, 2008. 40 films from 9 different countries were shown. All films shared a story of environmental concern from the indigenous perspective. The National Tribal Environmental Council hosted the event and sponsors included UNESCO and the National Geographic All Roads Film Project. This piece was created as an overview report to be used for international awareness and fundraising. Photography, interviewing and editing by Genevieve Russell/ StoryPortrait Media, storyportraitmedia.com Special thanks to Joel Fadness, joelfadness.com for composing the accompanying musical track.
