Making the vision a reality: Joe Graba suggests that fundamental changes, and freedom of choice in the types of schools that are available to students, will be necessary to change the future of our educational system. He cites online learning as an example that has succeeded. Dr. Green agrees that new ideas are needed but the connection between the teacher and the child is most important. Dr. Angie Ellers envisions a Venn Diagram approach where schools, communities, service organizations, and business all play a role in the education of a child. Dr. Pearlstein expresses the need for education to be politicized if it is going to improve.
