This is the second scarification procedure I have filmed, I decided to take a different angle with this one. The modification artist chose the background track which proved to be quite challenging but ultimately complimented the experimental nature of what I was planning to produce. The music and the footage are a completely juxtaposed, overall the short experimental video has gone from what some may consider as brutal and grotesque, into something quite light hearted and almost dream-like.
This is my first attempt at going against the grain, having decided to concentrate on experimental filmmaking this year. What's the point in always conforming to traditional convention...
