The Lemon Tree is a short experimental narrative. It addresses our constant hunt for perfection. The closer we think we are the more distorted our memory of it becomes.

What did you use to record the audio? It sounds like a 1950s' infomercial.

I search for a meaning. Sorry. animation is great. A man is making something sweet out of something sour, that grows, but once a lemon is picked, it cannot be put back. A witness narrates, maybe a disabled person...?

That was amazing—great work!! Only negative (but constructive) criticism: I think it might have been a little more effective if in the end, the guy was brushing the lemon all the time, not just at the very very end, and much slower. But that's just a little thing. It was awesome! Amazing! Bravo! :P

I'd have to disagree, I loved the suspense leading up to that brush stroke.

Wow. I have absolutely no clue what that film is about, disregarding your description. So confusing! Why does the man have honey to paint lemons? Oh so strange!

Not to promote drug use, but the translucent layering throughout the video reminded me very much of my psychedelic experiences from many years ago. I always remember a "sheen" or translucent like layer like that was added to my vision while I was under that influence. Was there a similar such inspiration in the creation of The Lemon Tree?

So good! I remember seeing this a couple years ago here at SCAD and it blew me away. The compositing is flawless and the 3D must have taken foreverrrrr. Is it all done in Maya and After Effects?

It this suggesting that by the man painting the lemon tree with honey he creates the perfect lemon tree in the child's eyes, but its not really perfect because someone had created that image of perfection?
Great video I love your work

Yes the man painting lemons is trying to perfect the lemon tree and the child watches him everyday lusting for that perfection. The mother wishes for the innocence of the child. The man on the bike is watching the mother in his TV. The woman at the periscope is watching the man on the bike. All of them are wanting for what the next has.

I would love a function in vimeo where the artist is able to enter all the tools he used.. Like cameras, software and so on.. I really would love to know what is needed besides genius and a lot of creativity to create something like this o.o
