I love the intro, and definitely the music choices! You make the best videos for ultimate in the world! is there going to be a final draft of the USA ULTIMATE WJUC highlight video?

If you didn't see the comment below, the WJUC footage from 2 years ago was only from the practice camp prior to Germany as USAU did not have the funds to send me along with to document the teams. Maybe that will change this year with the teams traveling to Dublin, but who knows...

Though I fought as hard as might to get myself flown out to Germany for the WJUC two years ago, it just wasn't in the cards. So, what I have filmed from their camp is all that was officially filmed.

This is great. Try Twixtor for the slow motion next time.

Agreed on twixtor. only just got it working with AE5 and the results were mixed for me. the pro version is what i need to learn in order to really break apart the scene and have players stand out, but i really had to blitz on this project and basically did the bulk of the work in under 7 days while holding down my full time job

This is great! Do you film while sidelining, or do you always get someone who's not involved in the game to do the camerawork?
  • luke johnson plus 2 months ago
We were fortunate enough to have our college practice player, Tim Fergus, make it down to Sarasota. The team paid for his ticket and lodging and in return he sat behind the camera every day and filmed more than 6hrs worth of footage.

Often though I will do the filming as well, and as much as I like the back of the endzone view (if you can only be limited to one angle), the back does not let one be a good sideline player as well. Therefore, some of the footage you'll notice from Regionals or Sectionals was filmed by me from the sideline (on top of a bucket).

That is really lucky! You both did an awesome job. I always have trouble focusing on sidelining and filming at the same time, but the bucket is a good protip :P

okay, thanks a lot luke! so im making a frisbee trick shot video and im having trouble with song choices. do you have any good ideas?
  • luke johnson plus 2 months ago
music is always a tricky subject... for this video i took suggestions from my team and therefore the songs meant something a little more than just whatever i happened to be listening to.

as long as you're not monetizing your trick-shot videos you can use copyrighted music without much fear of repercution . But if you want to steer clear of any issues, then check out:

    these are my favorites.
