From our hike up Pacaya Volcano. We disregarded the guide's advice (hey, he was only a fourteen-year-old kid) and scrambled up close to see the red-hot lava rocks. We were about seventy-five feet away, and you could feel the heat!

Great video! We were at Pacaya on Monday, Feb. 23rd, and it was extremely windy -- when were you there? We didn't dare go as close as you though. Instead, we went around the back side, where we could look down on the lava.

Oh no, that was our friend Rel. Erika was about a half-mile away, watching from a safe distance. She probably said the same thing from there, though.
