Milwaukee janitors who cleaned the Roundy’s building at 875 E. Wisconsin Ave. were fired on December 1st when the building owner decided to kick out the union cleaning company and replace them with a non-union company that pays poverty wages with no benefits and only part-time hours.
Like the bosses at Manitowoc Crane, they are carrying out the Walker agenda of saving money on the backs of the state’s most vulnerable workers. Recently in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Crowe shamefully suggested the change to new poverty wage employees was to improve quality.
December 15th, the janitors and community allies marched to Crowe's building.
