After four years of whetting the whistles of wine drinkers in the far East Village David Hitchner, co-owner of InVino Winebar and The Alphabet City Wine Co., is striking out on his own and gambling that East Villagers are still thirsty.
But this time, he’ll be tapping kegs instead of popping corks as he plans to open The Alphabet City Beer Co. next February.
