WOW! If the music has not been composed for this video, the combination is just a pure miracle.

It's amazing how some photos just stick in your head even if 3990 others have passed in front of your eyes.

    I really like your method.
The speed is excellent because we can't analyse all the pictures but an impression still, so we can feel the atmosphere of the place.
How many frames per second do you set ?

Amazing video! Really translates the experience you've had. Now I want to go there even more :)

By the way, did you shoot with this video in mind? There are some sequences that made me wonder.

This might sound really weird, but I had almost the EXACT same experience when I visited Japan with my ex. I stayed with her family so I got a very local experience which I am sure you did too. I went to almost all the same locations/temples, (Kyoto, Nara, Osaka, Tokyo, Namba, Rock Gardens, etc.)and was there for 3 weeks. Of course I didn't have a nice camera at the time so I don't have nearly as many beautiful pictures. I can't believe how similar my experience was to this. Really great little piece. It brought back some fond memories. Thanks for making it. :)

all of it was SO breath-taking. i felt at the beginning (at times) trying to catch up with the flow of everything. then i just made my awareness speed up, which was so amazing to experience. i don't mean this offensively, but i'm high right now, and this beautiful video completely blew me away. this inspires me to experiment more with stop-motion. thank you for uploading and thank yourself for being an artist.

Wow, watched it on Fubiz... tahn came here and watched it again! It really stands out! Thanks for sharing this with us, it made me think of the beautiful things we can do and the emotions they can give you, as humans! Great shots, great composition, great harmony between the rythm of the music (beautiful) and the fps, but most important beautiful work. Oh, and... i don't want to seem disrespectful but your girlfriend is beyond pretty!!!

Ha - I liked your Morocco Spain clip so much I tried something in similar style:

    vimeo.com/16743643

and it was this trip: Tokyo - Kyoto - Nara (I stopped in Osaka, Himeji and Kobe). Yours is better though, I had some tech issues and wasn't shooting with the concept in mind, only tried to do it with existing photos after the fact.

anyway, love it, keep up the good work. also, Japan rules.

I'm back again. I cannot stop thinking about how this short film is so stunning and amazing. I'm struck each time I see it. The sequence is so fast, but at the same time, a number of photos are from the same scene. All this let you appreciate it even better, like you had little pauses in this velocity of change. All those photos from different subjects/angles and those stopmotion moments/pauses glued together let you travel kilometers of distance peacefully. And this is what struck me the most. It's zen while being so active.
