"Fish Freedom" is a project I'm starting between the fall and spring semesters. Hoping to have a working prototype before classes start and all my time is dedicated to (slightly) more serious pursuits.
The project is about giving the traditional pet goldfish the same kind of freedom a hamster has in it's "Hamster Ball." This early prototype is an exploration of using color tracking to calculate the angle and speed of the fish inside the bowl.
These values will then be mapped to a system of motors. (One providing forward thrust, another correcting the angle to match the fish's position in the bowl.) If that doesn't make much sense now, stick around. More videos to come!
