The Engine is a live demonstration of a dialogue of images and indicative of the working process of many ABC Artists' Books Cooperative artists. It proposes the development of a visual vocabulary full of intent, surprise, and danger, triggered only by simple search terms, the capability of the search engine itself, and the creativity of its operators.
For a continuous period of three hours, each aritst responds to a previous artist's image on a dedicated Facebook page (tinyurl.com/the-engine), with Facebook members invited to comment on the images posted.
