Village Lutheran Church, Lanoka Harbor, N.J., members are having solar panels installed on the church roof, financed by an LCEF loan. The energy produced will not only help the church operate, but can be sold back to the utility company since New Jersey has an aggressive renewable energy program and is required by law to have a certain percentage of renewable energy sources. Michael Colling, Village’s chief financial officer and LCEF congregation representative, discusses how the project got started.
