10. Crux Region - Southern Skies over Costa Rica

February 23, 2009 - The Crux Region of the Milky Way as viewed from La Ensenada Lodge, Costa Rica. The Crux and Carina constellations are visible as we look southward over the Gulf of Nicoya from 3:30am through to dawn.
This timelapse was taken using a Hutech-modified Canon XTi dSLR, and then processed using PhotoLapse software, and published using Windows Movemaker.
