With so much attention around today’s KAWS BE@RBRICK launch in Asia, it isn’t surprising to see droves of people heading towards Taipei’s eastern neighborhood for its release at INVINCIBLE. In reality, the queue already started at 11 PM last evening, with some flew in as far as Hong Kong for the toy figure purchase. By mid-morning, the queue grew to over 500 people, roped in and out of the narrow streets. Though the line-up was generally cooperative, this was one of the rare occasions Taipei’s Finest was on hand to prevent any disturbances.
