The Gekko adapts the to varies terrain with help from four independent adjustable legs, this makes the gravity point of the robot very low, allowing it to operate on steep surfaces. A gyroscope is providing the Gekko with its sense of balance. The gyroscope is very visible so people can predict the movement of the Gekko. It is also possible to touch the Gyroscope, and thereby upsetting the balance of the robot, This will give the Gekko a animal like character.
