this robot built sometime during 2003
It is autonomous and controlled by 3 PIC chips (16F84) which communicate with each other. One is the master PIC - while one controls sensors and the other controls the motors.
It has Infrared sensors at the front for object detection together with a 'bumper' for smaller objects which may not be detected (like chair legs).
It also has a small camera mounted at the front which sends pictures to a TV or monitor.
