Lunar Samhain, October 26, 2011
As part of a year long artworking with the members of the Gestare Art Collective we are working with the moon and the sun, the cosmos mandala from Vicki Noble's* perspective, the members concurrently within the three day window around each quarter and cross-quarter trance to a meeting with the ancestors to engage with those who are walking alongside us in this life, seeking to know our part in the ongoing healing of past woundings, and receive their wisdom and guidance.

Early in the morning on October, 26, 2011 I walked to the lake near my home. It had rained during the night and the energy was fresh, calm and clear. This 11 minute experimental video documents, through overlays of the experience at the lake that morning, the unfolding of my trance with the ancestors of the land-- the gestures, sounds and words that revealed themselves on the peer.
