This fly-through animation starts at Maple Tree Square in Gastown (where Gassy Jack stands) showing The Alhambra Building (built in 1887, home of Vancouver’s first courthouse and jail), then travels west along Water Street showing The Garage (and Cordage building), then the old Grande Hotel which is part of the terminus development.
The video pans up to show the new construction component of terminus – the modern brick and glass extension of its historic façade and it’s rooftop patios and lush green lawns.
The animation dips down into Blood Alley, showing the rear of the building, while offering a glimpse of what the courtyard area will look like once completed. The animation then flies back along the west side of the building back to Water Street where it comes to rest in front of the terminus building.
