killer video for what I would call primarily a "stills" camera. Keep em coming

i don't think there's anyone on earth that feels music in precisely the same manner as robin finck. and that is a very fabulous thing.

    thanks again, rob :)

Awesome footage. Its great having you get amongst it all on stage, and as a fan watching the gig (which I did in Adelaide) your presence isn't obtrusive to the band or the viewer - and the outcomes are amazing. Thanks Rob and NIN.

So I have always been on the receiving end. But this shot gives me a new perspective on the feedback NIN gets when they are giving it all. Australian crowds are pretty weak, but the again I am sure that portland was too. It appears to be an inverse relationship with what the band is producing and what the crowd is giving back. Next time I will try and give more.
  •
  • nanohead 2 years ago
    WOOOOOOW! That crowd sucked.
  •
  • Casey 2 years ago
That crowd was far from weak, even if it appears that way in the video. It was so tight at the front of the pit that you could not move at all, let alone breathe. I was lucky enough to be able to get out, as I know other people that were there, who simply could not get out, because it was too tight.

Thank you, Rob! These videos are amazing.

i must say...australian crowds are fuckin' weak, these past few video posts have left me speech-less, energized, and above all, extremely pumped for NIN's return to the US

Even though this was first one you did, it still rocked. Thanks again Rob!!

    Cool as hell.....thanks!

  • uuku 2 years ago
the new perspective gains ground, the audience is on stage and is subject to evaluation and discussion by others who weren't there.
feels good to click 'like' with absolute certainty before watching :]

8-# ohhkay seen it. it's the sound, it's unreal, kept fighting with iTunes equalizer today (yea my audiocard sucks..) and kept coming back to these vids _for_the_sound_ even when couldn't watch..

i do not love the drums, Freese did it much better...
    But Still Awesome as always
  •
  • Joe McMonagle 2 years ago
Once again, as expect, very cool Rob. Thanks again! And although we all love Freese, Ilan seems to be doing a great job and holding his own in a pretty (in my opinion) intimidating postion.

Great videos BUT these are encoded at 30fps. Could you post at 24 fps? Apple TV only supports 24 fps for HD so to play there, it needs to be re-encoded in iTunes. Annoying. Vimeo cuts it down to 25 fps for streaming anyway. Thanks.

These videos are amazing. But wtf is wrong with the crowd lol? You'd think there were at least 10-15 more or less up front giving a damn. What a shame.

Great Stuff Rob!! Awesome to be on stage with the band and right there next to them. One suggestion.......you need more cameras shooting from different angles, like down in front of the band, to blend with what your getting on stage.
Hey!!....Just so happens I have a 5D also, and I am available to be a second camera man!!
    Keep up the great work!!

    Later,
