My wife came with me to the radio station as I recorded my voice tracks for my part time radio gig. We didn't want to leave the camera in the freezing car, so we brought it in. She got the idea to grab some footage to capture what I do. As I thought about it, her timing was perfect. This was the last time I will be recording my show in the Kalamazoo studios. In the future, I will be recording in my own studio and uploading the tracks in mp3 format for an intern to load into the system.
What you will see here is what I believe to be pretty typical at radio stations these days. Hardly anything is live. It's more cost effective to voicetrack, which is what pre-recording a show like this is called. And hey, if there's one thing radio execs need it's more money, right? I should have gone into radio sales. Then I wouldn't be eating hamburger helper so often! LOL
