It's a tool, not a museum artifact. It can take it

  • Those videos are very nice, you can watch videos like that about every little camera in the world, but I never saw one about RED cameras! Thanks!

Great vid guys! is it possible for you to list the full rig specs shown in the video? besides the master prime, it would definitely help me in this struggle to rig this baby up.

Wow, man! That spinning is really bad. Not for the sake of the camera though, it's just artificial.

what makes you say that a red can not be operated by a single person? I mean it isn't normal to have one operator, but what specifically causes that with the red?
  • Richard Lacey 1 month ago
Dealing with such depth of field and the quality this camera is capable of you'd expect to have a camera operator and focus puller at the very least. Probably a clapper loader too.
You probably could run and gun with a single person, but it's not the ideal camera for that given the need to swap batteries and memory cards on such a regular basis. An assistant would make life massively easier.

    This camera seems expensive.

I really only need four of them.

I've looked high and low for a place to order the Arri 15mm adapter plate... Where do you go to pick one up? Thanks!
  • Sebastian Woeber 1 month ago
The Arri adapter plate was a preproduction model. Since they develop that stuff 30 minutes from my door it was easy to get.
The Arri plate is very lightweight but doesn't have many threads at the bottom. You can check out the wooden camera 15mm LW but it's about twice as heavy...
