This is the first in a series, inspired by the work of Richard Misrach.

It was shot from 4 PM to around 5:30 PM on March 1, 2009, and brings to light the many air currents that interact with each other in complex ways.

The original digital sources are over 3K wide and the move was created after the fact, in After Effects.

Here is a link to Richard's book, GOLDEN GATE, a sublime photographic study of a remarkable spot on earth.

I found it amazing that he could create a series of images around one of the most photographed of human created structures and show it in context of the majesty of the sky - in a composition that makes it new, airy and light.

"Tching prayed on the mountain and wrote MAKE IT NEW on his bath tub. Day by day, make it new, cut underbrush, pile the logs, keep it growing" -Ezra Pound
