On/Off road adventure this time to Tewantin (Noosa) - Rainbow Beach (55km of wide sandy beach) and to Fraser Island. Traveling solo allowed me to make lots of video footage. The full 44 min video with "Safe in Sand" motorcycle riding tips is also available. 310km on road and 250km in sand Off road. 3 times I laid 200kg bike gently into the sand and 3 times lifted it up within 10 seconds to prevent fuel from leaking out of the tank. :o) No damage and no single scratch to me or the bike. Very fine soft silica sand and few dunes were really tiring but the feeling afterwards very rewarding.

I visited Fraser Island for the first time in 2004 and it was back then when I saw two riders on their motorcycles passing by our 4WD. That's when the temptation started growing in me. I kept revisiting this island (another 5 times to be precise) until this visit number 7 when I finally made it here on my motorized 2 wheels.
