Here at the MIT Mobile Experience Lab (mobile.mit.edu), we don't just rock, we rock hard! We put together this multi-touch table in just 4 days.

We are using FTIR (wiki.nuigroup.com/FTIR) to detect multi-finger touches using a bank of infrared LEDs and a modified PS3Eye webcam. The application is an Adobe AIR app programmed in AS3, loading in Google Maps and plotting geo-coded photos onto a map of Venice, Italy.
