Adobe specialist Pat Taylor explains how wooden scaffolding used in the past leaves traces on the exposed adobe of the Officers' Club at the Presidio of San Francisco.
3D models were produced of the 2 scaffold 'scars', using stereo photogrammetry from handheld photos. The models are helpful for public interpretation, as in this video, but are also invaluable in documenting the conservation and repair work in remarkable 3D detail.
