Stand by for Plug Out Boy. Created by the brilliant and brilliantly-named animator Ricky Martin (rickymartinshortfilms.co.uk), Plug Out Boy is a boy on a non-power trip to Plug Out everything that shouldn't be on. That he is a line drawing on post-it notes sticking to walls shouldn't obscure the fact that he is a hero we should all try and be like.

This version of Plug Out Boy is set to an exquisitely plugged-out track, Green Monday. If you'd like to set Plug Out Boy to another plugged-out track, maybe your own genius plugged-out creation, then download the silent version, overdub and upload it.

What a simple idea. The use of stickies to animate on works a charm. It's not only inspired me as an animator, but it's done the job, I'm going to try and read more this week because of this, instead of watching DVD or playing games.

How was the animation planned, or was it just straight ahead without an prep drawings?
Also how did you get the sticky notes to stand upright on the blender section?
