This video should serve as a reminder never to let your guard down while traveling in the sidecountry or backcountry. This slide happened around 11:30am on 1-2-12. Red flags were plentiful on this first sunny day after about a 30inch cycle, and we almost got seriously spanked.

    Smart man, at least the guy planted his edge hard before dropping to see if it would slide. That shit would have wrecked him. Glad to see he'll live to ride another day.

    Stupid..stupid..stupid. That sums it up. All the red flags are there and people still charge into the backcountry thinking they can walk on water when danger is high and the snowpack is dangerous.
