Mr. Stephen Walters holds an MSc in Geology and has 27 years professional experience. Following initial work in Canada Mr. Walters spent a number of years on the Zambian Copper-belt as Senior Geologist for ZCCM.
Since 1987 Stephen has been based in Asia with principal experience in Indonesia, Philippines and Malaysia. Stephen acted as Project Manager for New Hope Corp on its Sulawesi Contracts of Works and led that team that initially discovered the Awak Mas project in 1991 prior to its Joint Venture to Battle Mtn. Gold.
Stephen was formerly Senior Geologist for Newmont Mining Corporation in Sulawesi and thereafter responsible for property evaluations in Indonesia for Placer Pacific prior to forming his own consultancy based in Jakarta representing clients from Canada, UK and Australia. In 2008 Mr. Walters co-founded One Asia Resources Corporation and currently acts as its Managing Director.
