I'm selling my bike, and as a tradition for other vehicles I have sold in the past, I made a video of it. It's a 2007 Yamaha R6s. I've owned it since January 2009. I purchased it from the original owner (a lady from Michigan) who only put 850 miles on the bike! It now has just under 20,400 miles.
For the first year of ownership I used it as a truly recreational vehicle. Mainly going on fun rides with friends on weekends. From 2010-2011 I used it as my daily vehicle, which is where I racked up the majority of the miles on it. During this time I commuted back/forth to my classes and job, both which were 55~ miles away from my home and right off the highway just like my house. So I'd say that easily 80% of the mileage on this bike are highway miles.
I've kept a very detailed maintenance log. If you are interested I could share it with you. For instance, the front tire, a Bridgestone BT-016 120/70, was mounted 7/3/09 at which time the bike had 9,350 miles on it. The rear tire, a Bridgestone BT-016 180/55, was mounted on 11/14/09 at which time the bike had 12,613 miles on it.
The only modifications the bike has is a shortened stock exhaust, and smog block off plates from Agg Racing. Other than this, I have only adjusted the rear spring's pre-load, the front shock's pre-load, and dropped the front shocks roughly 7mm to compensate for the change in tire height.
If you have any questions about the bike, please message me!
