It sounds pussy compared to Trent's.

Listen to Baby's First Coffin and change your mind. You don't HAVE to compare, both are great and they do their own thing ^^

Thanks Fredrik for an intelligent response to a lame comment.Instead of making her feel bad for not knowing what she's talking about, you offered her a way to educate herself.Smart move.

Haha I saw TR smile at the end, Glad to see him having fun. That was awesome. I live in Vancouver and I see the tour dates for NIN/JA so far don't come here (as of March 3 2009) I might have to goto the Sasquatch (sp?) Festival to catch this version of NIN. Just sooo much energy.

Funny how I could see Rob walking around in this other video: vimeo.com/3417939?pg=embed&sec=. I was just waiting for Rob's version to come up.

One again, NIN is paving the way. Even though this leg of the tour is stripped down, room was opened up for inovation. Cinema-quality HD videos from the stage is really a first. With the exception of high-budget rock-documentaries, I've never seen anything like this.

    Congratulations, once again.

Holy moly, that was fuckin' sweet. There looked like there was so much energy going on that night, and Trent's face at the end was priceless.

the most impressive thing about these videos is the speed in which rob and blumpy turn it around. bands labour for MONTHS on live dvds that don't sound and look as good. the audio is incredible and the images match it. so very impressive, but thats the standard i've come to expect from this outfit.

    truly, a class act.

    Thanks for sharing guys.

That looked so fun. Did you see the huge smile Trent had when they finished?
  •
  • Fredrik Ekman 8 months ago
Must be tough to get good footage in that light ;-) It's a shame that you missed a large part of Ben's performance, perhaps you did not dare to get to close to his (sometimes impulse) moves on stage, ha

    Great Rob!
  •
  • Graham Gohmann 8 months ago
    Cool video.

Why did you add the cheering loop in there though? Was the crowd being shy?
  •
  • Sammy Davis 8 months ago
This was cool n' everything, but I didn't like Ben's voice for this. It just didn't sound right for the song. I'm not saying he has a bad voice or anything, I just don't think it fit too well. So....not my favorite version of the song, but still pretty cool.
  • Fredrik Ekman 8 months ago
First, his name is Greg. Second, have you listened to their recorded cover of Wish or their original song called Phone Home? It's just about opinion but I must say I don't agree with you...
  •
  • thelastdisciple 8 months ago
Yeah, the performance was cool and all to see but i must agree to what some have said already, that guy from DEP that does the vocals has a very very weak tone and should never sing this song again i am sorry there just wasn't any expression or range in this voice at all, some people said it even sounds punk....i don't know what you're listening to because that is FAR from what punk vocals sound like.

This was like bringing a mouse on to sing something a lion does best at.

Hahaha, Trent's final line made me laugh out loud at my computer...that doesn't usually happen watching NIN. I have to say, though, that I'm sad at the fact that by shooting this video, Rob isn't able to capture great moments like this with the power that well timed still photos have. Hire a second shooter for the final tour, guys!

1st If you don't know DEP please don't comment Greg's talent etc, it will just hit you back IMO...

2nd. If you like music and especially talented musicians, you should already know who Ben Weinman is. That makes you 2x wrong if you just complained about Ben's voice

I have to admit that at first I wasn't sure if I was going to like hearing someone else sing this classic. However, I felt that Ben did a good job. There was a strange energy that happened in the middle of the performance that took this song to limbo, but eventually it finished strong. This is a difficult song to do because the vocals and overall energy from Trent are a signature to this song. I think it was cool that Trent shared this personal song with another vocalist. However, if another vocalist is singing it, then s/he has to make it his/her own creation and not an imitation.

    lordy.

opinions are valid and all, but complaining about gregs voice in this instance is completely pointless. it was a fun collaboration after a a few dates together. everybody involved did what they were supposed to, and it sounded fantastic.

more of this say i. and 'yay' for smiling trent.

Yeah, my 5d Mk II makes sweet video. Doesn't focus for crap in a typical Los Angeles nightclub but give it some decent lighting and it's clear as clear gets. I have some low-light 5d Mrk II vids floating around here somewhere so you can see the difference.

rob, u are the shit. amazing work. to be honest i've never seen a more evocative, immersive live video of a band ever. period. incredible job netting of the energy of that moment in time, and top notch encapsulation with regards to the subtle post enhancements. i doubt this will be the last video we see shot with this incredibly novel technique.

That was SO AWESOME! I love both Nine Inch Nails and Dillinger Escape Plan. What a combination. That was a good song for them to play together too. They should have done March of the Pigs too. That would be awesome.

  • It's great for artists like Trent Reznor to embrace the up-and-coming innovators like Dillinger Escape Plan. This performance was a showing of solidarity, very well done and it looked like everyone was having a lot of fun up there.

-->Love the onstage footage. A bit over-edited with the bluriness at time. it's like i'm there, but then again i'm not, just a viewer. personally, i would strongly appreciate 100% raw HD footage. but who am i to complain, just a comment. i always appreciate everything that nin does b4 anyone else.
