Celebration is an interdenominational youth service is held each month in the church of the VEC Elburg.
Concept.
Because Jesus is central at Celebration and we both wanted to do something with contemporary events, which should appeal to young people we came up with the idea of Jesus' first miracle (Wedding at Cana: water to wine) as a main concept. This choice was conscious made by among others the following reasons. 1. Many people outside the faith know this miracle. 2. It is often found dusty image of the faith is less by such a beautiful miracle. 3. Drinks are (unfortunately) very topical youth and says just that that liquor is generally not a bad thing. 4. The Bible contains many beautiful piece of text and the link between the wonder and Celebration is easy to see.
After that we have set down we had to figure out how we represent it. We indicated that the strange image, direct and clear in its simplicity needed. So we actually could get to the essence of the project. Young people are ''imagetired'', image and visual noise is everywhere. It is difficult in today's society really stand out and leave an impression that lingers. This was well thought out every detail so that the video can stay short and sweet. After our opinion this is successful achieved. The final impression can be regarded as abstract by the viewer but clearly recognizable throughout the series given image, concept and design ensures a strong result. Also focuses on current but also to attract new people to the upcoming services.
