One of my greatest achievements of 2011 is the extent to which I was successful in "Bringing Nature Home" in the sense of the Doug Tallamy book by the same name. Here are some of the various creatures I documented last year, there are even a few things (butterflies, snakes, raccoons, etc.) that I saw but didn't get photographic evidence.

Cultivating biodiversity in my immediate surroundings supplements my main art practice which focuses almost entirely on patterns in nature.

If you've got kids or you're a curious adult not only are there health benefits to growing native plants and not using pesticides, there are immense educational benefits as I discovered here. Everything was shot in my side and back yard in Northeast Florida.
