Inspired by “Through Positive Eyes”, a two-year photographic project sponsored by the Art | Global Health Center at UCLA, students transform societal stigmas into marks of distinction; characteristics to be celebrated, honored and admired. This workshop theme was made possible through a partnership between the Department of World Arts and Cultures at UCLA and The HeArt Project.
99% of students who visit our cultural partners during final presentations are there for the first time in their lives!
Our mission: The HeArt Project combats the epidemic high school dropout crisis with a long-term, sequential arts program offering students a pursuable life path that inspires them to stay in school, evolve as unique individuals, and flourish as creative adults.
