We all knew Kuwait would be bustling with excitement, since the drawdown of Troops from Iraq was announced by the President. What we didn't know, was that we would be in Kuwait when the last of American combat Troops crossed the border from Iraq into Kuwait. The Adopt-a-Soldier Platoon's Military Appreciation Tour - Kuwait 2011 took on a new, profound, historic significance. Thanks to corporate Benefactors, Special Friends, Supporters and the United States Air Force, Adopt-a-Soldier Platoon was able to bring eight Washington Redskins Cheerleaders and lots of gifts to Kuwait to Welcome Home, greet and entertain our Troops. It was definitely one of the most rewarding trips a person could be entitled to.
