How I Rotoscope a Single Frame
For a fuller explanation as to why this is on Vimeo please visit film.thetwoofhearts.com to clear it up.
The process used to rotoscope a single frame (this being the "shower" scene - don't worry the rest isn't like this, it involves murder at some point) using Photoshop. I used actions to resize the image to HD sizes, import the shower object from another file, create a blank white fill layer, made that invisible and then create a new layer.
Using the Pen tool I drew a rough area where the hair is and Pasted In To a pre-made hair texture that's been used throughout.
Then drew in the outlines and then threw in some swirly shading, steam and smoke.
