a beautiful place at times and a total drag at others. should i thank you for helping me discover the intrawebs? i liked your pie shakes. i liked your cheese sandwiches. i liked that it felt like the 80's most of the time. i liked your corn but not your gnats. i think there were a lot of crazy people there, more than normal in most places. i liked that you were prettier than i thought you'd be and not as flat and as boring as nebraska. in the end you were not my favorite place or second favorite place to live. but at least you weren't houston. we put up with each other and got along well over drinks and that's more than i can say for a lot of places. here's to you iowa.
