This is a film created for my Media and Ministry course at Fuller Seminary.

"Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it. Prone to leave the God I love." These are lyrics from the hymn Come Thou Fount of Ev'ry Blessing.

When we wander, are we running away? Is restlessness a bad thing?

Shot at a beach near Lompoc in Central California with a Panasonic HVX200, with a mix of DV and digital footage. We meandered along the coast, hoping to discover some of what it means to wander. No set script—just a couple of guys, their camera, and a gorgeous coastline.

Direction, editing, voice, and piano by myself. Camera work by my friend Leslie Foster of Traveling Muse Pictures. Purple Church Productions is the newly developing production company from my church in Hollywood.

This is my first film.
