Interdisciplinary workshop with Zohra Opoku, Oyindamola Fakeye and Goddy Leye
Zohra invited people studying or working in the sectors of art, fashion and architecture to join a critical exploration and discussion of the trade in second-hand cloth from the West and its impact on the local textile and fashion industries in West Africa.
As means of creatively countering this trend, participants searched for new insights into the social codes inscribed into fashion and design in different parts of the world and materialised them through pictures and videos as well as garments and objects made from textiles.
