These timelapses were captured during December 2010 using a Canon EOS 7D, a Canon EOS 450D and several Sigma lenses. The scenes, accompanied by original music, show several landscapes from the Big Island of Hawaii, including the active Kilauea caldera (Volcano national park), a storm in Laupahoehoe, lava flows over Kalapana, the roads to Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa and a night from Mauna Kea's summit.
Although we had very few days and bad weather, the goal was to capture the essence of the great variety of landscapes and outstanding views that can be found in the island. The purpose of the travel were some observations that were suposed to be done at the Gemini telescope (8m) in visitor mode. The unfortunate night appears at the last scene!
