The Urban Explorers explore one of the oldest abandoned coal breakers. Originally built in 1892 and then rebuilt in 1939. It was closed in 1976 and has deteriorated quite a lot since then.
They used to spray paint their coal blue as kind of a trademark and I remember, as a young kid living in Philadelphia, where a few of the rowhouses on my street still had coal burning furnaces and I would sometimes see the coal trucks delivering "blue" coal.
Realize this vid is a bit long and has no redeeming artistic quality. I just wanted to document our explore and I was constantly switching between the vid cam and my still cam.
