The Comptroller believes that all Maryland students should master the basic concepts of financial literacy before they graduate from high school in order to lead successful lives. He is calling for a stand-alone course in personal finance before graduation and has created a bi-partisan coalition of parents, students, teachers and business leaders to fight for this initiative.
