here's a wee demo vid of some of the lighting stuff i have done. This is 5 metres of TM1809 based RGB LED strip, controlled by a teensy 2.0 & custom software written for that, all controlled by a program on my laptop that i wrote in processing. it's a quick skim through some of the modes, mostly audio reactive or slightly audio influenced in some way. I started with shorter lengths which worked fine with an arduino but moved to a teensy 2.0 and got the fast spi library working on that with teensyduino as the serial port speed begins to give poor framerates with long lengths of lights. I got this going at 40fps+ for patterns that don't use intensive fft, it should be able to go faster but my laptop is old and falling apart.
music is by me (see soundcloud.com/greenbank for more & better quality, i was trying not to wake the neighbours, 7am vid!)
if you're interested in giving me cold hard cash for any sort of awesome lighting like this then get in touch at firstname.lastname@example.org I have midi control, dawn light, light painting and standalone audio react versions in various states of testing and bug fixing as well, ideally i will eventually put them all into one incredibly versatile fun & handy light unit!
